Our story
No entrepreneur left behind!
Every underdog, at some point, has had to battle the odds stacked against them. This can be seen especially when it comes to entrepreneurship. Digital marketing can be a simple DIY task checked off your to-do list, or, if done right, it can be a true game-changer for your business. Press Happi is a game-changer that can empower you to have a kick-ass website and can level the playing field for search rank, conversion, and online sales without the high-priced agency fees.
We opened our digital doors on Diversity Day in 2021 by Kori Ashton who has beaten the odds time and again. Like many females in the tech industry, she’s faced prejudice and had to persistently craft her own lanes to build companies that promote kindness, health, and happiness.
Back in 2012 Kori partnered with her parents to launch a web design company in San Antonio, Texas, that serviced local, small businesses who were in need of a great website without the high-priced agency fees. Five short years later they were a million-dollar company serving clients worldwide. In 2017 she sold the company to corporate VCs who quickly lost sight of the heart and passion for small businesses. Kori found herself selling six-figure websites and multi-million dollar digital marketing strategies for fortune 500 companies. All came to a halt when, in 2019, she was diagnosed with cervical cancer. Kori’s definition of “success” changed. After kicking cancer’s ass, and amid the uncertainty of the global pandemic of 2020, she quit that corporate gig and walked away from the c-suite salary, the stiff collars, and greedy culture to build something reminiscent of the core values that had driven her entrepreneurial spirit to happiness nearly a decade earlier. She wanted to empower small businesses to have success with digital marketing.
In 2023 we’re driven even more to provide great partnerships with our contributors, great education to our local communities through our franchise partners, and great websites because no entrepreneur should be left behind!
